Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center in Southlake, TX, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision, in a PRN role. Mon-Fri scheduling helps maintain consistent coverage in the cath lab.

Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program or RCIS, hold ARRT(R) and BLS, ACLS, and have 1 year cath lab experience or be an RCIS in training. This position supports a busy, award-winning hospital.

Job Purpose

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program or
• Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• R.T. (R) through ARRT and registered with Texas Medical Board or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS)or
• RCIS obtained within 12 months of hire following graduation from approved RCIS program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardio Life support (ACLS) Certification, American Heart Association

Work Experience:

• 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab with general understanding of cath procedures and related complication preferred.
