Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center in North Texas is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist in invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab, under supervision by the physician and lab staff.

Requirements include ARRT RT(R) with Texas licensure, RCIS or RCIS in progress, BLS and ACLS, and about 1 year of cath lab experience. PRN days, Mon-Fri shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program.
• RCIS certification or RCIS in progress; RT(R) through ARRT and Texas Medical Board registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; 1 year cath lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision.
• Support physicians and staff during procedures and post-procedure care.

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program or approved Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Program or Current student in approved cardiovascular invasive specialist (RCIS) program Licenses and/or Certifications: R.T. (R) through ARRT and registered with Texas Medical Board or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS)or RCIS obtained within 12 months of hire following graduation from approved RCIS program Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life support (ACLS) Certification, American Heart Association Work Experience: 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab with general understanding of cath procedures and related complication preferred.
