Job summary

Cath Lab and Cardiology Radiologic Technologist position in Dublin, OH. The role supports Interventional Cardiologist procedures as scrubb, monitor and circulator, with knowledge of fluoroscopy and sterile technique.

The contract is 13 weeks, 4x10 hour days, with weekend call and a requirement to travel up to 50 miles from central facility. ARRT, Ohio Radiologic License, BLS/ACLS and IR/Cath Lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT, ACLS, IR and Cath Lab experience required.
• Shift: 4x10's Days (0700-1730) with every other holiday.
• Call: Weekend and weekday call required.
• 2 years of radiography experience.
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• ODH Ohio Radiologic License.
• BLS & ACLS Certification.
• Prefer Vascular IR tech exp.
• Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must assist the Interventional Cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures including scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating.
• VIR responsibilities include assisting Interventional Radiologist with image-guided vascular procedures using fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound.
• EP responsibilities include assisting Electrophysiologist with X-ray, arrhythmia monitoring and sterile technique.
• Neuro Interventional responsibilities include assisting Neuro Interventional Radiologist with diagnostic and interventional procedures and knowledge of stroke interventions.

Education

Graduate of an accredited radiography program

ARRT - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

ODH Ohio Radiologic License

Job Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (4047):

• 2 years of experience
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

• Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, medical terminology.

Cath Lab Specific:

• The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique.

Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific:

• The VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound.

Arrhythmia (EP) Specific:

• The EP Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Electrophysiologist for non-invasive and invasive procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, arrhythmia monitoring, cardio structures, anatomy of the heart chambers, and sterile technique.

Neuro Interventional Specific:

• The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, avascular malformations, stroke interventions and sterile technique.
