Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Cardiovascular labs across multiple Phoenix-area locations. You will perform high-quality radiologic procedures, operate imaging equipment, and assist physicians in sterile scrub roles within the CCL/EP/IR labs.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, supply management, staff training, and adhering to CMS regulations. Requires ARRT certification, AZ CRT license, BLS, and ACLS within 60 days. Experience >10 months preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology from NLN/CCNE or ARRT-recognized program.
• Radiologic Technology experience exceeding 10 months.
• ARRT Radiography Certification; AZ State CRT license required.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required within 60 days.
• Cardiac-Interventional Certification and RCIS preferred.

• Perform high-quality radiological procedures in cardiovascular labs per regulations.
• Operate radiology equipment and scrub for physician in cardiovascular suite.
• Maintain supply chain and equipment in cardiovascular suite.
• Train and monitor performance of personnel in the cardiovascular suite.

Responsibilities

The Rad Tech position is responsible for performing high quality radiological procedures in the cardiovascular labs in accordance with governing regulations and standards. Includes using ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment of patients in a safe and timely manner as ordered by physician. Responsible for quality control and maintenance of department aprons and radiology equipment used in the CCL/EP/IR labs. Stocks all supply as necessary. Responsible for providing surgical scrub assistance to physicians. Assists the RN with direct patient care.

Essential Functions

• Independently demonstrates the ability to utilize evidence‑based clinical knowledge to assist the physician with the diagnoses and treatment plan of the cardiovascular patient through the set up and operation of the diagnostic and treatment devices in the cardiovascular suite.
• Operates the medical radiology equipment as well as the role of scrub assistant to the physician in the cardiovascular suite.
• Works in collaboration with the medical staff and department leadership to recommend and maintain the supply chain of products in the cardiovascular suite.
• Works in collaboration with the medical staff and department leadership to train and monitor the performance of all personnel working in the cardiovascular suite.
• Remains current with the organization's regulatory standards and CMS regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education

• Associates from an accredited NLN/CCNE or ARRT Vocational/Specialized Training such as related coursework, seminars or certifications Required
• Bachelors from an accredited NLN/CCNE or ARRT Vocational/Specialized Preferred

Experience

>10 months Radiologic Technology Required

License & Certifications

• ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification Radiology Tech License Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Certification 60 Days Required
• Radiologic Technologist - License Certified AZ State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License Required
• Cardiac-Interventional Certification - Certification Cardiac Interventional Valid and current through ARRT Preferred
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) – Certification Registered Cardio Invasive Specialist Valid and current Preferred
