Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab at TMS provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The RN prepares patients, assists physicians, monitors status, and delivers post-procedure care to ensure safe outcomes.

The role requires an ASN with RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and preferred Cath Lab/ICU experience. Moderate sedation certification is preferred or required per policy, with on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Moderate Sedation certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Cath Lab/ICU/CCU/ER or critical care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assess, and educate patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as appropriate.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and discharge education.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by the facility.

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The RN prepares patients for procedures, assists physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, monitors patient status throughout interventions, and provides post-procedure care to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Moderate Sedation certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Cath Lab, ICU, CCU, ER, or critical care nursing experience preferred.
