Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated is seeking a Cardiovascular Specialist to assist physicians with invasive cardiology procedures and to contribute to a high-energy team serving the Iredell community.

The role requires experience in cardiovascular technology or radiologic technology and relevant certifications; RCIS and BCLS/ACLS are preferred/required with a year to obtain if eligible. Ability to lift 35 lbs and pass FIT tests is needed.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology – special procedures, or other allied health field preferred.
• Certification, registered or registry eligible in a relevant allied health field (CIT or radiologic tech – special procedures, or paramedic); registry eligible must obtain within 1 year.
• One year of experience in a cardiovascular lab preferred; RCIS preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year.
• BCLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required; ACLS required through AHA or Red Cross.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs and wear a lead apron; pass a basic FIT test; CPR capable; respond in emergencies.

The Cardiovascular Specialist assists the physician with invasive cardiology procedures and performs duties for which the employee is qualified by way of education and training. Work with a fabulous team of cardiovascular professionals caring for patients in the Iredell community.

Requirements

• One year of experience in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology – special procedures, or other relevant allied health field preferred.
• Certification, registered or registry eligible in a relevant allied health field, such as cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology – special procedures, Cardiovascular Interventional Technology (CIT or CIT eligible), or paramedic required. If registry eligible must obtain within a year of hire date.
• One year of experience working in a cardiovascular lab preferred.
• RCIS preferred or willing to obtain within a year of hire date.
• BCLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• ACLS required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test for the position to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to lift patients with assistance or assistive devices. Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
• Ability to wear lead apron.
• May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.
• Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency situation. Must be able to perform CPR.
