Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a highly dedicated nurse for a cath lab/acute care role at West Jefferson Medical Center in Louisiana. This position requires emergent on-call duties and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will lead care coordination, explain procedures to patients and families, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, monitor for changes, and maintain safe environments while ensuring excellent patient experience.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• Experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints.
• Explain procedures to patient and family as appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and work alongside physicians to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team members regarding significant events or changes.
• Contribute to a high-quality patient experience by ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.
