Job summary

Merit Health in Flowood, Mississippi is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through all stages of the nursing process. You will coordinate care with physicians and the health team, administer medications, monitor patients, and educate families while upholding infection control and safety standards.

The role requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience, a valid RN license, and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required for the applicable state.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience required or student rotations.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care following nursing process.
• Document assessments and report changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Engage in performance improvement and audits.
