Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in critical care unit, emergency room or interventional cardiac cath lab.
• CA RN license required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Abuse protection and reporting: assess, identify and report patient abuse/neglect and follow department policies.
• Advance directives: educate, document and obtain copies to place on chart.
• Advocacy: act as client advocate to improve care and support informed decisions.
• Assessment: prioritize nursing diagnoses through observation and data interpretation.
• Blood withdrawal: perform aseptic venipuncture and proper labeling.
• Central line care and maintenance: perform care, maintenance and discontinuation as applicable.
