Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to provide expert care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will work in a procedural environment to support physicians and ensure high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.

The role requires an active Florida RN license (compact acceptable) with BLS; ACLS within 6 months and 1–3 years of Cath Lab experience are preferred; BSN is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or eligible for compact licensure; active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
• One to three years’ experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse/Technician.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication skills; ability to read and follow instructions; basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of Cardiac Cath patients pre, intra and post procedure.
• Assist physicians in operative procedures.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
