Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab nurse to join our daytime team. In this role you will assist as circulator, scrub, or monitor and ensure safe patient care across the perioperative process.

You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate procedures, education, and timely documentation. The position requires nursing licensure and basic life support, with opportunities for tuition coverage and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program or equivalent for licensing.
• Active nursing license in the relevant work location or ability to obtain.
• BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs on the Cath Lab procedure team as circulator, scrub, or monitor.
• Preps patient and ensures H&P is timely.
• Utilizes clinical judgment to assess and administer medications.
• Performs hemostasis safely with or without vascular devices.
• Educates patients and families about the perioperative process.
• Assists families to the cardiology area or Cath lab area as needed.
