Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens Travel Nursing Job in Mission Hills, California

Advance your nursing career as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) in Mission Hills, CA 91345! This locum tenens travel nursing opportunity places you in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in the heart of Southern California’s San Fernando Valley. Enjoy working with cutting-edge technology and a collaborative healthcare team while experiencing the vibrant Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Cath Lab for adult and geriatric patients
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Monitor and administer procedural sedation
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Circulate and scrub for Cath Lab procedures
• Respond promptly to on-call shifts within 30 minutes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Document care using Epic EMR
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience
• ACLS certification
• LA City Fire Card (issued within last 30 days)
• Previous travel RN experience required
• Epic charting experience
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Ability to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year\'s Eve, New Year\'s Day)
• First-time travelers and pending licenses not accepted

Shift & Compensation

• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (06:30 - 17:00), 40 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2350-$2520
• On-Call: 5-6 shifts every 2 weeks, including every other weekend
• On-Call Response Time: 30 minutes
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Contract Details

• Assignment Dates: September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Scrub Color: Any color (L/D & OR provided)
• Charting System: Epic EMR
