Job summary

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current BLS certification, Texas RN license or eligibility, and at least six months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas.
• Six months RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Manages the nursing components of patient/family education.
• Communicates with the team, patients, and families and ensures understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures accurate, timely written communication of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely and timely.
• Takes responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Applies the nursing process to deliver quality patient care throughout the care episode.
• Other duties as assigned.
