Qualifications

• California RN license required at hire.
• American Heart Association BLS at hire.
• ANCC-recognized specialty certification (or within 1 year).
• ACLS at hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate or training.
• 1 year of recent clinical acute care experience.
• 1 year of Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Manager/Director in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating unit services.
• Manage and coordinate the nursing unit and supervise caregivers.
• Interpret policies, procedures, protocols, standards and regulations.
• Maintain clinical competence and certifications to support the unit as needed.
