Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Interventional Radiographer for the Cath Lab in Columbus, OH. The role performs angiographic procedures and invasive vascular treatments to achieve optimal image quality.

The candidate will enter charges in the RIS, participate in On-Call coverage as needed, and follow Mount Carmel Radiation Safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered radiologic technologist in good standing.
• Valid State of Ohio radiological license required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs interventional procedures with emphasis on image quality.
• Enter on-line charges in Radiology Information System (RIS) and ensure accuracy.
• Participates in On-Call coverage as applicable.

Position Purpose

The Interventional Radiographer in Cath Lab performs angiographic procedures including invasive vascular treatments and examinations of a technical level consistent with optimal image quality, including a variety of technical and non-technical tasks.

What You Will Do

• Performs a variety of interventional procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
• Responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
• Participates in On-Call coverage as applicable.
• Follows guidelines for Radiation Safety as outlined in MCHS Radiation Safety Policy Manual.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program.
• Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required. CI or CV registry preferred.
• Experience: 2 years work experience in all phases of diagnostic radiography, preferred; with angiography, cardiac catherization, or surgery experience preferred.
• Maintain current CPR certification
