Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) to provide specialized nursing care during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The RN will prepare patients, monitor status, assist physicians, and ensure post-procedure safety and education.

Required ASN with RN license; BLS/ACLS certifications; cath lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Moderate Sedation certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Recent Cath Lab, ICU, CCU, ER, or critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess patients before cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response during procedures.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as appropriate.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, patient education, and discharge instructions.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The RN prepares patients for procedures, monitors patient status throughout interventions, assists physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, and provides post-procedure care while ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
