UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, CO seeks a Registered Nurse with cath lab, EP, ED or critical care experience for full-time days. Position involves prep/recovery for coronary and EP procedures, with 1-2 night call weeks and every 3rd weekend.
Onsite only; no remote option. Responsibilities include preparing the environment, reviewing medical records, patient monitoring, and post-procedure education.
2+ years of recent cath lab, EP, ED or critical care, or procedural RN experience strongly preferred.
M-F 10 hour shifts. Will work in coronary and EP procedures, and perform prep/recoveries of these patients. Call requirements of 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend. Will rotate up to MCR for some orientation.

Summary: Provides direct patient care at a proficient level, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Monitors the patient to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Responsibilities: Performs functions before procedure, including preparing the environment, orienting and assessing the patient, and reviewing patient's medical record to ensure safety checklist are complete.
Responds to life threatening situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols for treatment. Handles critical and highly stressful situations, reacting decisively with efficiency and composure.
Provides nursing care in a technically complex environment.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
