Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Cath Lab Coordinator to coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate unit activities for the delivery of quality patient care within the mission and values of Baptist Health. The coordinator plays a key role in directing Cath Lab operations and serves under the Clinical Operations Manager.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred), a minimum of three years in the Cath Lab, and active RCIS, RCES or RN licensure with BLS.

Summary:

The Coordinator is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities for the provision of quality patient care within the framework of the mission, values, and vision of Baptist Health. They are responsible to the Clinical Operations Manager and serves as a role model by providing direction in the application of quality improvement standards, and organizational and departmental goals and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The primary role is to coordinate and facilitate the function of the Cath Lab.

Education / Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of three years required. Cath Lab experience preferred.

License / Certification:

Active RCIS, RCES or RN licensure required, BLS required

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
