Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform interventional imaging in the Cath Lab, preparing patients and operating radiologic equipment under physician guidance.

The ideal candidate will hold AMA‑accredited vascular lab training and required certifications such as BLS/CPR, RCVS, and RDT Cardiac Sonography, ensuring patient safety and data quality in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA accredited Vascular Lab Training Program and certification or board eligibility in Vascular Technology.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification as required by the American Heart Association.
• Credentials as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or equivalent upon hire.
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology or related credential per the job posting.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer credential or equivalent upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) credential upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance.
• Prepare patients, operate advanced radiologic equipment, and contribute data for interpretation.
• Ensure safe, efficient operation of all equipment and maintain current standards and protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and coordinate with front staff to schedule vascular examinations.
