Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to advance cardiac care, using cutting-edge imaging to support diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will perform interventional examinations of the heart and vessels under physician guidance, prepare patients, operate radiologic equipment, and contribute data for interpretation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA accredited Vascular Lab Training Program and certification or board eligibility by a nationally recognized Vascular Technology Registry.
• Basic Life Support - CPR through the American Heart Association.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives patients and explains Vascular Lab procedures to obtain cooperation and allay anxieties; performs non-invasive vascular procedures per protocols and ensures data quality.
• Communicates preliminary findings and/or reading physician's interpretation to staff; assists in scheduling and informs front office of changes.
• Maintains clean, orderly work areas and ensures examination rooms are stocked and operational before each exam.
