The ideal candidate will scrub and monitor a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, providing essential support to physicians and ensuring patient safety throughout complex interventions.

The role requires current ACLS and BLS certifications, with experience in LHC, RHC, PCI, STEMI interventions, and peripheral procedures.

Qualifications

Cath Lab Technologist Job Description

Position Title: Cath Lab Technologist

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a high-performing cardiovascular team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Cath Lab skills and be capable of independently scrubbing and monitoring a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This professional will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting physicians during complex cardiac and peripheral interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment and procedural rooms.
• Scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and patient status throughout procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to quality standards during all interventions.
• Assist with emergency cardiovascular procedures, including STEMI activations.
• Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Maintain accurate patient records and procedural documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow all infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have:

• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Advanced Skills Required:

• Ability to independently scrub and monitor:
  • Left Heart Catheterizations (LHC)
  • Right Heart Catheterizations (RHC)
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • STEMI interventions
  • Peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures

• RT(R) (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
