Job summary

Mustang Cat is hiring an Engine Rebuild Mechanic to disassemble, repair, and restore diesel and natural gas engines for shop or field service in Texas. You'll work on power systems supporting critical infrastructure, with opportunities to move between shop floors and customer sites using a field service truck.

The role requires hands-on experience as a diesel engine technician or generator technician, knowledge of electronic, hydraulic, and engine systems, and the ability to diagnose problems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or technical certificate preferred.
• Own proper tools to perform repairs.
• Previous mechanic or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do as an Engine Rebuild Mechanic:

As an Engine Rebuild Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in disassembling, repairing, and restoring diesel and natural gas industrial engines. You'll work on power systems that support vital infrastructure and industries throughout Texas. Responsibilities include:

• Disassemble, inspect, and recondition diesel and natural gas engines
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Remove and install engines and generator systems
• Test and adjust components for optimal performance
• Conduct technical analysis and failure diagnosis
• Work independently in the shop or at customer sites using a field service truck
