Job summary

Aramark at East Stroudsburg University is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee campus catering events from planning through execution, coordinating with culinary leadership and student engagement initiatives.

You will lead the catering team, ensure top service and food safety, and collaborate with campus partners to promote dining programs while tracking performance and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in catering, hospitality, food service, event management, or a related field.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in event setup and breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure successful event execution and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, train, and supervise catering team members to deliver exceptional hospitality and service.
• Ensure proper event setup, presentation standards, and adherence to food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Plan and execute dining hall promotions, themed events, and student engagement activities.
• Collaborate with student organizations, campus departments, admissions, athletics, and residence life to support campus programming.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and other campus stakeholders.
• Support marketing initiatives that promote dining programs, events, and special offerings.
• Track event performance, customer feedback, and participation to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain inventories, event supplies, and operational records.

Job description

The Catering Supervisor leads catering operations and campus engagement initiatives for East Stroudsburg University. This role coordinates catering events from planning through execution, of events, partners with culinary leadership on menu delivery, and develops programs that enhance student engagement and community connections through dining services.

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
