Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Dietetic Assistant/Catering Clerk to support dining services. This role covers cashier duties, catering setup, and storeroom organization, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and accuracy. Shifts vary with events; main shift 5:30a–2p, 40 hours/week.

Must have Food Service Worker Permit and a high school diploma preferred. Training on tray delivery and department orientation will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid FSWP or obtain a temporary FSWP before start date and maintain it throughout employment.
• Ability to handle cash, credits, and meal vouchers according to policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash, credit cards, payroll deductions and meal vouchers following department policies
• Operate the register system accurately with correct change and deposits
• Review menu, pricing and register screen prior to shift
• Maintain a clean, stocked work area throughout shift
• Follow recipes and techniques when preparing beverages
• Assemble supplies for catered events and deliver them per standards
• Interact with customers in a professional, courteous manner
• Inspect items during receiving and reject/credit when necessary
• Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and store items per FDA Food Code
• Dietetic Assistant duties may be assigned as needed
