Job summary

Aramark at Samford University is seeking a Catering Services Worker to support events, set up, transport equipment, serve guests, and break down after service. This role emphasizes guest experience, teamwork, and delivering high-quality presentation for every event.

You will operate in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for skill development and leadership growth. A shift differential applies after 5pm and on weekends, and free meals are provided during shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Prior catering experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to follow assigned dress code.
• Available for event-based hours.
• Must complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up catering and event service according to client/customer requests and banquet event order.
• Transport and deliver catering food and beverage with all vital supplies and equipment.
• Set up chairs, tables, buffet lines and other event equipment as requested in banquet event order.
• Replenish Food and Beverage products during events.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during events.
• Pick up and clean up food and beverage deliveries after service.
• Break down and clean area after the conclusion of the events and return equipment to accurate storage.
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.

As a Catering Services Worker at Samford University, you will support the operations team in running successful catering orders and events. This includes setting up, transporting equipment, food, or other supplies to the location, serving guests during the event, and breaking down/cleaning up at the end of an event. We prioritize guest experience, friendly personas and ensuring quality presentation each and every time.
