Job Description

Responsible for supervising, training, and managing the food service operation. Ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production records if necessary.
  2. Direct daily activities of the food service team.
  3. Maintain food safety and quality standards according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
  4. Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free storage of food items.
  5. Maintain serving schedules; ensure all food items are served per menu specifications safely and appropriately.
  6. Ensure the department complies with health and safety codes and regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate inventory records weekly, following departmental policies.
  8. Prepare orders with vendors as needed to ensure correct production levels.
  9. Operate an efficient, cost-effective program.
  10. Supervise, evaluate, counsel, and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.

Qualifications
  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year as a lead.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Minimum Education/Certification: High School Diploma/GED.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
