Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee event planning and execution at our Cedar Rapids location. You will develop catering solutions, manage staff, and ensure high-quality service for diverse events.

The role emphasizes client rapport, on-site event coordination, and adherence to food safety standards. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with related certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of experience in catering/hospitality management.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role preferred.
• Any event-based work with strong client interaction is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Must have excellent communications skills.
• Food Handlers and Alcohol Service certifications as required.

• Deliver food and labor targets.
• Execute catering events of varied size including staffing and management.
• Ensure accurate reporting of catering revenue, expenses, and receivables.
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
• Assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients’ needs
• Train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
• Provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
• Responsible for delivering food and labor targets
• Responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
• Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
• Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
• Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
