Larkin's Catering & Events is seeking an experienced, energetic, and service-focused Catering & Events Captain to lead events both on-site at our venues and off-site throughout the Upstate. Qualifications

• Prior banquet, catering or hospitality leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• ServSafe Alcohol certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• ServSafe Food Protection certification is a plus.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead event setup, execution, and breakdown for on-site and off-site events.
• Supervise banquet servers and event staff while maintaining high service standards.
• Communicate with clients, chefs, sales managers, and venue staff for seamless execution.
• Conduct pre-event team meetings and assign responsibilities.
• Ensure food and beverage service meets company standards and health regulations.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
• Verify event timelines are followed and all details are executed accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces and equipment.
• Complete event paperwork, inventories, and required reports.
• Safely transport or oversee transportation of catering equipment when necessary.
• Represent Larkin's Catering & Events with professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality at every event.

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.

Physical Requirements

To perform the essential functions of this position, employees must be able to:

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods, often 8-12 hours during events.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and climb stairs.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Load, unload, and transport catering equipment, tables, chairs, and service items safely.
