Job summary

American Dining Creations is seeking Catering Event Staff to provide outstanding guest service through event preparation, transportation, and execution. You will assist with setup, food preparation, service, and breakdown, while maintaining a professional and hospitable demeanor.

Location is Cedar Rapids, IA with a Monday-Thursday 1st shift schedule, no nights, no weekends. Prior catering or food service experience is preferred, and you should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prior work history in catering, food service, and customer service preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable or able to learn current food health and safety regulations.
• Be reliable, work well in fast-paced environments, organized, efficient, and have strong communication skills.
• Must follow dress-code guidelines reflecting professionalism and competence.

Responsibilities

• Setting up dining and event areas per catering manager's instructions.
• Ensuring tableware, place settings, serving pieces and decorations are prepared before events.
• Perform food preparation tasks: washing, peeling, cutting produce, seasoning, slicing meats, preparing sauces and salads.
• Load and unload food, tableware, and catering supplies on/off vehicles and carts.
• Accurately set up tabletop place settings including utensils, glasses, plates, etc.
