Constellation in New York, NY, is seeking a Catering Coordinator to join our team. You’ll lead planning, coordination, and execution of catering events, working with clients, culinary teams, and vendors to deliver outstanding service.

This role is Monday through Friday, focusing on seamless event execution, on-site support, and timely communication. A customer-oriented approach and strong organizational skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in catering, food and beverage, events or related field.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Safe Food Handler’s Certification is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordination of catering events from start to finish, including logistics, setup, and teardown.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and customizing orders.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules for catering orders and event rentals.
• Work with culinary and operations teams to ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery.
• Maintain a master calendar of events and deadlines, and attend pre-event meetings.
• Liaise with external vendors to arrange equipment and services for events.
• Provide on-site assistance during events and address last-minute issues.
• Manage catering supplies, equipment, and inventory for upcoming events.
• Ensure all food and services meet company standards for quality and presentation.

The Role at a glance:

We are seeking a Catering Coordinator to join our Constellation team in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring seamless planning, coordination, and execution of catering events. You’ll work closely with clients, culinary teams, and vendors to provide outstanding service. What you'll be doing:

• Assist in the planning and coordination of catering events from start to finish, including logistics, setup, and teardown.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, customizing orders, and ensuring that all event details align with client expectations.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules for catering orders, event rentals, and any additional materials required.
• Work with the culinary and operations teams to ensure all orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
• Maintain a master calendar of events and deadlines, attending pre-event meetings and communicating event details to all relevant parties.
• Liaise with external vendors to arrange equipment, rentals, and other necessary services to support successful event execution.
• Provide on-site assistance during events, ensuring seamless execution and promptly addressing any last-minute issues.
• Manage catering supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure sufficient inventory levels for upcoming events.
• Ensure all food and services meet company standards for quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
