Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a Catering Attendant for on-call, flexible scheduling at our Jacksonville, FL location. The role involves assembling and delivering food and supplies, logging temperatures, setting up stations, serving guests, and maintaining a clean event space.

Valid driver’s license and a state food-handler or alcohol server permit are required. Flexible availability for events including mornings, lunches, dinners and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Position: Catering Attendant – on‑call, flexible schedule. Location: 4567 St John’s Bluff Rd South, Jacksonville, FL 32224. Pay: $16.00–$16.75 per hour. Shift meal and free parking provided. Online applications only.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble and deliver all food and supplies to scheduled catering locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Arrange tables, decorations, buffet stations and service items according to standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests and maintain friendly, courteous service.
• Thoroughly clean event areas during and after the event and leave the space neat.
• Return food, beverages, serving equipment, utensils and comment cards to the catering facility.
• Stock, clean and maintain catering facility and equipment.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience preferred; previous bartending experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a state‑required food‑handler's permit and/or alcohol server’s permit.
• Flexible availability for events (early morning, lunch, dinner, weekends).
• Ability to drive a catering delivery truck (where applicable).
