Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. We are hiring a Category Supplier Manager (Buyer) in Manassas, VA. The role serves as the primary point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site.

Responsibilities

• Lead Site Supplier Performance and Relationships
• Own the procurement process for designated areas and accounts
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet business needs
• Support capital budgeting and cash flow management, and execute Global Procurement strategies
• Handle cost-saving initiatives and metric implementation
• Implement cost savings and process improvement programs
• Serve as a consultant for procurement process and supplier issues
• Support site audits

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, quantity surveying, and estimating
• Manage multiple large-scale projects (sourcing events) concurrently, with minimal supervision
• Strong project management skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Comfortable interacting with Senior Leaders and Executives, and creating executive-level presentations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
• Proven strong problem‑solving abilities
• Prior experience in a similar role strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred
