Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Category Merchandising & Pricing analyst to manage assortment, pricing, negotiations, and shelf presentation. You will support the Category Manager in vendor relations and drive pricing strategies to meet financial targets.

Collaborating with Shelf, Banner Merchandising, Pricing, Replenishment, and other departments, you will influence market share and profitability while ensuring planogram compliance and effective in-store marketing investments.

Qualifications

3–5 years combined experience in retail, merchandising, pricing, logistics, supply chain, procurement, and distribution.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Experience with listed software programs (SEGA, DSS, WMS, Relex, Inforem, Revionics, MSP, IRI/Nielsen, Market Track).
Knowledge of Fresh or Center Store categories.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Relationship management with vendors, brokers and third party consultants.
Negotiation and retail experience.

Responsibilities

Analyze a portfolio of Categories through item assortment, pricing, negotiations, and shelf presentation.
Collaborate across departments to meet budgeted metrics (sales, margin, market share).
Analyze category trends, adjust pricing plans to meet financial targets.
Review planograms and test sets for compliance and optimize shelf placement.
Develop pricing scenarios and manage vendor allowances with CM/ACM.
