The Supply Management organization plays a critical role in supporting this mission by ensuring the effective sourcing and supplier management of the goods and services the Red Cross depends on every day. The Category Manager, Logistics Services manages a portfolio of third-party transportation, fleet, couriers, and related logistics services. Reporting to the Director of Supply Management, this position partners with internal clients, Supply Management colleagues, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to develop category strategies, lead sourcing and negotiations, manage supplier performance, and improve cost, service, efficiency, and risk.
The Category Manager, Logistics Services develops and executes category and sourcing strategies across assigned transportation, fleet, courier, and related logistics services. The position leads complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and performance management; analyzes spending, market conditions, and business requirements; and partners with stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements in cost, service, operational performance, and risk.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Master's degree is preferred. Professional certification (e.g. C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM, etc.) preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Experience managing third-party spend within a large organization preferred.

Skills & Abilities: Solid leadership skills that include advanced collaboration and influence skills. Ability to develop business cases, presentations & stakeholder communications. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: Some travel may be required.
The salary range for this position is $108,000-$120,000.
