Job summary

Elkay seeks a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and category initiatives across spend areas, partnering with engineering, operations and product teams to optimize cost, quality and delivery.

You will manage multi-year supplier relationships, drive RFPs/RFQs, negotiate contracts, and develop cost-saving pipelines while tracking KPI performance against targets in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, category management, or supply chain.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes category strategies aligned to business objectives, ensuring effective sourcing and long-term value.

The Category Manager is responsible for the strategic management of sourcing and category activities across assigned spend areas, supporting global business units and operations. This role develops and executes category strategies, manages supplier relationships, and partners cross-functionally to ensure cost, quality, delivery, and performance objectives are achieved.
