Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to manage global and regional commodity strategies, engage internal stakeholders, and drive supplier qualification and continuity of supply. The role requires developing detailed sourcing strategies and leading negotiations across RFx, cost reduction, and supplier performance initiatives.

You will support SRM, supplier reviews, region/sector NPD teams, monitor supplier risk, and contribute to program QCD targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3+ years’ experience with supply chain, strategic sourcing or mechanical, electrical, or VAVE engineering for a global industrial manufacturer.
  • 30% travel including some international trips.

Responsibilities

  • Manage global and/or regional commodity.
  • Identify and engage with internal stakeholders to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality; partner with regional PPM teams.
  • Develop and execute detailed commodity strategy; assess opportunity for commodity including spend segmentation, cost drivers, and supply market analysis.
  • Develop sourcing strategy detailing projects, sourcing levers, timing, resources, and expected benefits.
  • Lead RFx, continuous improvement, consolidation, and negotiations; drive Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Support SRM and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers; monitor supplier risk and continuity of supply.
  • Assist regional/NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs and SRM to meet QCD targets.
  • Monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance.

About This Role

Manage global and/or regional commodity. Identify and engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality) to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality. Responsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy. Conduct or support negotiations and supplier selection. Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects.

Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity. Responsible for commodity continuity of supply including actively monitoring and mitigating supplier risk. Support region/sector NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs and strategy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage global and/or regional commodity
  • Identify and engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality) to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality - partner with regional PPM teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed
  • Responsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy:
  • Assess Opportunity for commodity including spend segmentation, commodity maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysis
  • Develop Sourcing Strategy for commodity detailing projects, sourcing levers, timing, resources, and expected benefits
  • Accountable for execution of sourcing projects including RFx, continuous improvement, consolidation, etc.
  • Responsible for defining negotiations strategy including supplier profiles, commercial negotiations targets, defining switching costs, and building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Conduct or support negotiations and supplier selection - accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance
  • Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects - responsible for supporting regional/sector countermeasures
  • Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity. Scribe for all quarterly reviews and key supplier meetings. Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.
  • Responsible for commodity continuity of supply - engage with plants to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure supplier capacity
  • Support region/sector NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs, RFQ's, and SRM to set and meet program QCD targets
  • Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance
  • Responsible for forecasting, reporting, mitigating, and recovery of commodity inflation
  • Support Quarterly Commodity Reviews (QCR) including updated projects, metrics, strategy, and countermeasures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience with supply chain, strategic sourcingor mechanical, electrical, or VAVE engineeringfor a global industrial manufacturer
  • 30% travel including some international trips

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM)
  • Excellent negotiation skills & strategic mindset
  • Experience with strategic sourcing and lean tools
  • Digital dexterity and strong analytical ability to leverage data
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain strategy (development and execution) and category specific experience
  • Driven problem solver with appetite toindependently address complex challenges in a fast-moving environment
  • Proven track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and executive communication
  • Strong business acumen and experience collaborating across various levels within a diverse, global organization

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
