Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a space management professional to lead shelf design and assortment optimization for assigned customers. You will use JDA or Apollo systems and retailer data to drive planograms and growth opportunities while collaborating with Sales and clients to align priorities and reset decisions.

The role requires 1–2 years in space management, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and travel up to 20% of time.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of space management experience.

• Above-average proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Influence and manage space management projects for assigned customers
• Apply shopper insights and standardized space strategies to influence retailer schematics and shelf design
• Lead space analysis, assortment recommendations, and planogram changes to improve revenue, profit, and shopping convenience
• Partner with Sales and customers to align priorities, support meetings, and guide reset decisions
• Manage execution methods, CA/ACA support, data accuracy, schematic archives, and post-implementation reporting
• Participate in ad-hoc analytical projects
• Prepare category reviews and lead analysis using retailer, syndicated, and internal data
• Identify growth opportunities and develop category insights, solutions, and presentations
• Attend business planning meetings
• Support Annual Business Plans and Joint Business Planning
• Update customer scorecards
• Track initiatives and report outcomes

Requirements

• 1–2 years of space management experience
• Expert knowledge of JDA or Apollo system usage and output, including application of contained measures
• Average understanding of IRI, Nielsen, Placer.ai, Spectra, Numerator, and retailer data and measures
• Above average proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong PC proficiency, including extremely strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Available to travel a minimum of 20% of working time, including up to 5 hours of driving time
• Must be able to perform the listed physical activities
• Must be able to work in an office environment if needed, primarily from a home office environment
