Job summary

Crawford Memorial Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to administer treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings. You will help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and promote independence through tailored therapy plans.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient response, adjusting treatments with the PT, providing home exercise programs, and ensuring timely, compliant documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• Must hold current professional licensure.
• Illinois PTA license required; valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance; BLS required.
• Experience: PTA experience preferred (minimum 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Administer PTA treatments under supervision of the staff Physical Therapist.
• Observe treatment effects and report adjustments to the therapist.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs tailored to their needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient charges timely and in accordance with policy.
