Job summary

Singing River Health System in Ocean Springs, MS is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services across SRHS facilities. You will operate CT equipment, ensure quality images, and uphold accreditation standards while delivering excellent patient care.

The role requires ARRT registration and Mississippi licensure, with six months+ CT experience preferred. Expect variable shifts, including nights, holidays, and hurricane team coverage, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Licensed by Mississippi State Department of Health and ARRT registration preferred.
• 6+ months CT imaging experience preferred; float to SRHS facilities.
• Must complete BCLS certification upon hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

Rotating Call, Holidays and Hurricane teams included.**Location:**Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital# **Job Description Summary**# **Job Description****Position Overview:** The CT Technologist works under the supervision of the physician, provides radiologic care, and services to patients by arranging an doperating equipment in order to produce images of the human body for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.The CT Technologist ensures that the Radiology department meets current accreditation program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards and achieves the Singing River Health System objectives. Float CT Tech/Premium Flex CT Tech: A minimum of six (6) months experience in Computerized Tomography Scanning is required.**Reports to:** Lead CT Technologist; Operations Manager**Supervises:** N/A**Physical Demands:** Work is moderately active: involves sitting with frequent requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and to travel to another facility within the SRHS service area. Work involves exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Work involves using many physical motions in performing daily work activities; subject to exposure of body fluids, communicable diseases, CRT (computer) equipment, sputum and tissues, which may carry the hazard of infectious disease. Work involves using repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and or fingers while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard.Work involves being able to perceive the nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction; the ability to make fine discriminations in sound. Work requires close visual and acuity and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus, i.e. shift gaze from viewing a computer monitor to forms/printed material that are closer to compare data at close vision.Must be able to be active for extended periods without experiencing undue fatigue. Must be able to work schedules assigned with the understanding that changes are in accordance to the needs of the hospital for off days, shifts or weekends.**Mental Demands:** Must demonstrate keen mental faculties/assessment and decision making abilities. Must demonstrate superior communication/speaking/enunciation skills to receive and give information in person and by telephone. Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
