Job summary

The Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology at the University of Minnesota periodically hires part-time and/or short-term staff to support various projects and labs. Roles include field data collection, admin and office tasks, communications, community outreach, event logistics, and tech/data entry.

Many positions are casual nonexempt with an 14-hour weekly limit. Openings are available to current students and others who meet the qualifications; prior research or CFANS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or demonstrated relevant work experience.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage tasks independently, and meet deadlines.
• These temporary positions are also periodically available to individuals currently in high school (as part of the StepUp program or a similar program).
• Prior successful work experience in a research center, academic department, or CFANS at the University of Minnesota is preferred.
• Experience in an academic, higher education, or research setting is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort engaging with diverse stakeholders.
