Job summary

Wayne HealthCare in Greenville, OH is seeking a casual Physical Therapist Assistant to support rehabilitation services. The role reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services and offers flexible hours at the Hospital and Rehab Facility.

The PTA will implement prescribed plans, instruct patients, document progress, and assist with lifting and transferring as needed, while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Must graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients as determined by evaluation by the Physical Therapist.
• Administer the plan of care created by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients on segments of the program, including proper use of wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, canes, braces, and prosthetic devices.
• Prepare written documentation as required by the department and directed by the therapist.
• Maintain department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance program.
• Proficient with electronic documentation/typing.
• Able to safely provide physical therapy and assist with lifting and transferring patients.
• Ensure safety, environmental control and infection control processes are maintained.
• Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
