Fairview Health Services in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Medical Assistant for a casual, on-call 0.01 FTE position in the Medical Specialty Care team (Pulmonary, Nephrology, Rheumatology, GI).

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, following the plan of care, performing procedures, documenting in the medical record, and communicating with the care team. Requires MA or LPN training and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program.
• Non-certified applicants with <6 months MA experience must have externship.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsabilités

• Delivers care as delegated by physician/RN.
• Follows the patient’s plan of care and documents care.
• Performs high/low risk procedures, including medication administration and CPR assistance.
• Communicates with the care team to ensure continuity of care.
