Job summary

Choice in Aging seeks a Care Professional - Casual to support frail elders and adults with disabilities in daily activities and program participation. You will assist with personal care, meal service, and documentation while maintaining a compassionate, respectful environment.

Under supervision, you will work with the Activity Coordinator and Program Director to ensure safety, dignity, and quality of life for participants, and you will contribute to a supportive team dedicated to aging with

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
TB test clear and LiveScan background check.
Able to communicate clearly in English.
Able to loudly project voice when needed for hearing impaired clients.
Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Lead, engage and assist with program activities and client participation.
Provide care respecting each individual's uniqueness and needs.
Maintain personhood through an environment that promotes worth, agency and hope.
Build one-on-one relationships with participants based on respect.
Assist with activities of daily living including toileting, feeding, grooming, and hygiene.
Provide safety supervision, emotional support, and behavior management as needed.
Document progress narratives, flow sheets, and staff logs.
