DHL Express is hiring a Dockworker in Coppell, Texas. You will handle sorting, packing, loading and unloading shipments inside a fast-paced environment, using a scanner to track parcels and operating a forklift when needed.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to company policies, and teamwork. A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and being at least 18 years old are required, with high school diploma or GED as a minimum education.

Responsabilités

• Sort, pack, load, and unload containers under tight deadlines.
• Palletize and separate freight/documents.
• Prepare all delivery material for shipment.
• Operate a scanner to record shipping and package information.
• Drive forklift when required.
• Report any security breaches or unusual events to supervisor.
• Maintain good work habits and adhere to safety procedures.
• Assist supervisor with orienting and training other employees.

DHL currently has openings for a Dockworker. The Dockworkers ensure the efficient and timely processing and handling of customer outbound and inbound shipments. Success in this position depends on the ability to ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Under tight deadlines, performs duties such as sorting, packing, loading, unloading containers
• Palletizing and separation of freight/documents
• Ensures all delivery material is prepared for shipment
• Operates a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents/packages picked up or delivered
• Drive forklift
• Reports any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to supervisor immediately
• Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work and safety procedures
• May assist supervisor in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of other employees
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Driving Privileges standards
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Must be at least 18 years old
  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs. frequently
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
