UPMC Washington Hospital in Washington, PA is seeking a casual CRNA to join our fast-paced community team. Enjoy a flexible schedule (6:30a-3p or 6:30a-5p as needed) with no nights, weekends, holidays, or beeper call, and a supportive MD-supervised environment.

Cases include Women's Health/OB, General Surgery (Robotic), Urology, GI, ENT, Neuro Spine, Orthopaedics, GI, and Cardiology including Cath Lab and diagnostic procedures. Free parking is provided.

Formación

• CRNA providing anesthetic care under supervision
• Experience in peri-anesthesia care is beneficial

Responsabilidades

• Administer anesthesia and peri-anesthesia care including pre-op prep, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care.
• Assume responsibility for controlled substances according to hospital policy and regulations
• Assist with teaching and evaluation of CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs
• Follow established policies and identify surgical site with OR staff and surgeon
• Engage in Quality Improvement through documentation and incident reporting

Position:Casual Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Competitive Hourly Rates.

Schedule: 6:30a-3p or 6:30a-5p as needed for staffing support. No nights, weekends, holidays, or beeper call.

Cases include Women's Health/ OB, General Surgery (Robotic), Urology, GI, ENT, Neuro Spine, Ortho, GI, Cardiology to include Cath Lab and Diagnostic Procedures.

Purpose: The CRNA provides anesthetic care for all patients in cooperation with the supervising physician, following Department of Anesthesiology standards and hospital policies. They administer anesthesia, monitor patients' reactions to sedatives and anesthetic agents, and inform the anesthesiologist of any adverse conditions that may threaten patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia and related care, including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthesia support.
• Assumes responsibility and is accountable for controlled substances according to department and hospital policy and State and federal guidelines
• Assists with the teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Performs according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Review appropriate documentation for informed consent and identify appropriate surgical site with operating room staff and surgeon in accordance with departmental and regulatory compliance standards
• Participate in the Quality Improvement (QI) process through documentation, incident reporting, evaluation, education, and implementation.
