Job summary

Weir is hiring for a Logging Machine/Shotblast Operator on site in a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 12:00 pm - 10:15 pm). The role involves operating tools to break castings, inspecting parts, and maintaining safety and production targets. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a reliable work history.

Responsibilities include data collection, board updates, and participating in 6S organization. Prior experience with pneumatic/hydraulic equipment and foundry environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate pneumatic hammer, premature hammer, or hydraulic wedge from an enclosed cab to break risers of castings weighing up to 1,200 lbs.
• Safely load and remove castings manually or with proper equipment.
• Visually inspect each casting for defects and separate by pattern and part to ensure quality standards.
• Swing an 8-16 lb. sledgehammer for up to one hour daily, maintain good hand-eye coordination, and lift properly to meet physical demands.
• Meet production targets, update boards, collect data, and participate in 6S workplace organization activities.
