Job summary

Aspen Aerogels Rhode Island LLC is seeking a Casting Operator to join our East Providence facility. The role focuses on safely following procedures in aerogel manufacturing, including chemical batch making, casting, rewind and solvent recovery, with emphasis on quality and compliance.

Training and shift flexibility are provided. Candidates should have 2 years of chemical manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing; Class I Division I/II environment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification or experience operating a forklift.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts: 4 days on/4 days off; overtime and holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures in a Class I Division I area.
• Maintain 6S standards and meet automotive customer requirements.
• Comply with RCRA requirements under EHS direction.
• Be respirator certified and maintain forklift certification.
• Perform Sol Prep, 4th Stream, Casting, Rewind and related operations.
• Oversee casting table operations prioritizing safety and quality.
• Follow Master Task List and perform routine cleanup and lubrication tasks.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and escalate issues when needed.
• Adhere to SOPs; participate in RC/CARs as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold Aspen values.
