Job summary

Neenah Foundry Company seeks a Cleaning Room General to support the finishing department. You will work directly with iron castings, remove excess metal using hand tools, and move castings to conveyors or pallets with occasional hoisting.

Expect a loud, warm, and dirty environment, standing for long periods, with guidance from a Team Lead. Position offers cross-training and exposure to diverse production tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• No educational requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Practice high levels of safety at all times.
• Operate hoists to move castings over 50 lbs.
• Remove gating and risers with use of hammers or wedges.
• Follow process sheets and work lists.
• Sort castings into boxes or onto pallets.
• Inspect and sort parts for defects.
• Maintain cleanliness of production area.
• Assembly of castings.
• Operate saw, pencil grinder, and basic hand tools as needed.
• Help with other tasks in department as needed.
• Tasks required after gaining experience in the position.
