O'Fallon Casting is seeking a Casting Cleaning Oper. A who will remove ceramic shell material from cast parts using high pressure water wash units and hand sanding cabinets.

Under supervision, you will place castings on racks, maintain batch integrity, and ensure proper transfer to the next operation on the process sheet. You must demonstrate strength and manual dexterity, with basic PC literacy to enter job data.

Formación

• Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity.
• Average working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
• No minimum formal educational achievement required.

Responsabilidades

• Remove ceramic shell material from castings using high pressure water wash equipment and sanding cabinets.
• Place castings on racks, maintaining batch integrity and grouping test bars.
• Visually inspect castings and report cleaning issues to supervisor.
• Transfer castings to the next operation on the process sheet.
• Replace plexiglas viewing windows and perform minor maintenance as required.
• Maintain labor vouchers, records, and logs; enter data into Company software.
• Attend hazardous material waste handling classes and lock out/tag out training.

With the guidance and supervision of the finishing/cell supervisor, Casting Cleaning Oper. A, working supervisor

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES BUT THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF

• 2 Shall consistently follow all applicable work instructions.
• 3 Shall receive daily work assignments from the supervisor.
• 4 Shall be able to efficiently and effectively use high pressure water wash equipment, hand sanding cabinets, and manual wash cabinets to remove ceramic shell material from castings, following the electronically provided work instructions.
• 5 Shall place individual castings on racks maintaining batch integrity, keeping the appropriate test bars together with the castings.
• 6 Shall exercise extreme care in removing the ceramic from the castings, avoiding any water blast damage.
• 7 Shall visually inspect all castings, notifying the supervisor of any cleaning problems.
• 8 Shall transfer castings to the next operation on the process sheet.
• 9 Shall replace plexiglas viewing windows, and do other minor maintenance as required.
• 10 Shall be capable of establishing acceptable casting cleaning techniques (including fixturing) for sample and preproduction runs.
• 11 Shall maintain all labor vouchers, records, and files, in addition to a variety of logs where accuracy is paramount, and enter all required information into the Company software in a timely manner.
• 12 Shall attend and successfully complete hazardous material / waste handling classes.
• 13 Shall maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• 14 Shall attend and successfully complete lock out / tag out training.
• 15 Shall attend and successfully complete training in the proper techniques of lifting.
• 16 Shall perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Must be able to tolerate the normal temperature swings typically experienced in a foundry environment, in addition to the damp, wet conditions due to working around water blasting equipment.

Special Skills Required

Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity to perform the physical demands of the job. Must have average working knowledge of personal computers and related software. No minimum formal educational achievement required.
