This seasonal, part-time, non-exempt hourly position requires interaction with up to 500 guests, acting experience, willingness to work in winter weather, and availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Position Summary

Both the Hobo and Conductor characters for The Polar Express Train RideTM are essential parts of the show. Both roles participate in the prologue, are transported to the North Pole to greet arriving guests and will be transported back to the station for passenger meet-and-greets after. The Hobo acts as the voice of doubt for guests, while the Conductor operates as a beacon of hope as guests decide whether they truly believe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Engage with and interact with guests as they arrive at the event, board the train, and as they leave the event
• Stay on script and interact where appropriate for the character

Qualifications

• Must be able to talk to crowds of up to 500 people
• Acting experience preferred but required
• Will be Required to work in inclement winter weather, as needed
• Will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
